Didmus Barasa kicks off recruitment of 500 goons to join his team ahead of 2022

Kimilili constituency Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has invited applications for recruitment of 500 persons to join team ahead of 2022 political battle.

The pro-Ruto MP says that the recruitment bases on Directorate of Criminal Investigations’ silence over the violence meted against him by Dagoreti North MP Simba Arati on Thursday during Kibra constituency mini polls.

During the recruitment, the lawmaker says persons with certificate of good conduct will be disqualified and that Training commences immediately.

He further notes that an attractive commission and retainer will be offered to successful applicants.

“Its on this basis that I invite applications for recruitment of 500 persons to join my team, those with certificate of good conduct will be disqualified. Training commences imediately. An attractive commission and retainer will be offered to successful applicants,” reads Barasa’s post.

On Saturday, Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria urged Kenyans to build their “own goons battalions ahead of 2022” if violence witnessed in Kibra during the just concluded mini polls is anything to go by.

Kuria who took to social media to condemn the violence meted upon some Jubilee party politicians during the Thursday by elections expressed is shock in how Kenyans are making fun of the incidents.

While noting that he was not supporting Jubilee candidate McDonald Mariga in the Kibra parliamentary race,Kuria said that Kenyans should give everyone a chance to campaign freely anywhere.

He noted that the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga was meant to resolve issues such as electoral violence.

He has further noted that the incident in which Simba Arati ordered goons to beat Kimilili MP Didimus Baraza infront of cameras is despicable.

According to the controversial MP, “Since Fred Matiangi and the security system has said nothing about this, I presume it’s fair game and we should all depend on goons not on the police”.

He says the fact that the incidents happened in the handshake bedroom speaks volumes about the “Building Batallions Initiative”, a term he has used to mock the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

He finishes his post by urging Kenyans to build their own goons battalions ahead of 2022 political period.

“I am still in shock that Kenyans are making fun of the violence meted upon Boni Khalwale and Didimus Baraza in Kibra. It is public knowledge that I was NOT supporting McDonald Mariga but we should give everyone a chance to campaign freely anywhere. The handshake was meant to resolve issues such as electoral violence. Simba Arati ordering goons to beat Didimus Baraza infront of cameras is despicable. Since Fred Matiangi and the security system has said nothing about this, I presume it’s fair game and we should all depend on goons not on the police. That this happened in the handshake bedroom speaks volumes about the Building Batallions Initiative. Let’s all build our own goons battalions ahead of 2022,” reads Moses Kuria’s post.
