Jubilee candidate in the just concluded Kibra constituency by elections on Monday made a visit to Kibra just a few days after losing to ODM’s Bernard Otieno Okoth (Imran) in November 7 mini polls.
Mariga during his tour visited some of his supporters who were injured during the by-election and wished them well.
The former Harambee Stars legend wished his supporters well.
He however had one message to all Kenyan citizens, urging them to always maintain peace regardless of their political affiliations.
“Earlier today I visited Some of my supporters who were injured during the by-election and wished them well and to also thank those who voted for me. As good citizens we should always maintain peace no matter our differences on who we support,” he tweeted.
Last week as the counting of votes for Kibra by-election went on, ODM candidate Imran Okoth received a surprise phone call from Mariga.
In the video aired immediately by mainstream media, he is heard conceding defeat. He also took the opportunity to congratulate Imran and promised to help him to realise his vision for Kibra residents.
Okoth was declared winner on Friday morning after garnering 24,636 votes to beat Mariga who came second.
