A minister in governor Mike Sonko’s government is pleading with Kenyans to pray for the embattled county boss.
Sonko who is facing a total of 19 charges among them corruption, abuse of office and money laundering has hence been barred by court from accessing his office.
Nairobi County Executive Committee (CEC) member for Environment, Energy, Water and Sanitation Veska Kangogo says the county chief is not in good position and needs prayers.
“Let’s pray for Sonko because he is not in a good position and he is also facing a judicial process. We hope that he will overcome the trial he is facing,” she echoed.
Kangogo dispelled claims that the county’s services have been disrupted following Sonko’s arrest.
