Once a promising midfielder at Manchester United Richard Eckersley didn’t know that things would turn out different for him. He trained with the current Manchester United’s sensation Christiano Ronaldo but now sells milk.
He last played for Manchester United in 2009 although his final professional game came in 2015 with Oldham Athletic. In an instant interview, Eckersley revealed that Oldham had no money he was from a wedding and had a small baby. ” I told my wife that I wanted to quit football. It was a relief, I had money to last six months or the whole year,” he told The Athletic.
He says he’s been thinking about Ronaldo’s comeback at Manchester United because the last time they were together. “The last time he was there I was there, I was training with him, and now I am a dairy man and I sell oat milk,” he opened up.
The former midfielder was asked about the details of his current life and he quickly pointed out what makes him happy. He said they’re currently producing 25000 liters of milk per month in glass bottles, he loves the fact that everything is reusable and it’s a circular business model. Having 22 employees, he targets to be the largest milk distributor in the UK in the next five years.
