Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has urged the youth in the country to consider ending the protests in the country.
Speaking during a press conference on Thursday, July 18, 2024, Mwaura said President William Ruto has already conceded to most of the youth’s demands, including dissolving his Cabinet, withdrawing Finance Bill, 2024, and assenting to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Amendment Bill.
He said Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has revealed that the country has lost Ksh6 billion as a result of the protests, noting that the economy will worsen if the protests continue.
Tukiendelea hivi hata kazi zitaharibika na vijana hawatapata ajira ipasavyo,” Mwaura said.
