Just a day after Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe assuming office as the new Majority whip in the National Assembly, he is already at work.

The lawmaker seems to be under instructions to make sure that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee purge is continued.

On Wednesday June 3, 2020, Wangwe sent notice of being discharged from parliamentary committees, to 16 MPs allied to Deputy President Dr William Ruto.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is among those who have received he letters. In the letter, the lawmakers have been given seven (7) days to respond, explaining why they think they should not be dewhiped.

“Pursuant to standing Orders 176 (1) and 176 (2), you are hereby notified that the Jubilee Party which nominated you intends to discharge you from the Transport, Public Works and housing Committee. You rae hereby given seven (7) days to respond before you are discharged from the said committee,” reads a letter dated June 3, 2020, that was sent to the lawmakers

However, Kuria has already indicated he would not respond to Wangwe’s letter saying it was well with his soul.
