President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to fire half of his cabinet by the end of next week, an MP allied to Deputy President William Ruto has claimed.
According to the Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, President Kenyatta’s Tuesday June 2 Parliamentary Group meeting at State House, Nairobi, was just but a start.
Through a social media post, Nyoro has warned his colleagues to expect a bloody week ahead.
The lawmaker claimed that some lawmakers were to be axed after the meeting, before the head of state embarks on his cabinet, saying that his team hoped the changes would help President Kenyatta grow the economy by double digits.
“Traps come with smiles.. Expect a bloody week ahead. It starts tomorrow with NA and by end of the week, half the cabinet will be gone. We hope the economy will now grow by 18% – with compliant rubber stamps, no more blame games. We are African and Africa is our Business,” he posted.
