ODM chairman John Mbadi has revealed the fate of Raila Odinga led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party in the wake of a merger between President Kenyatta’s Jubilee and Gideon Moi’s KANU through a post-poll coalition.

Speaking to one of the leading TV stations Monday morning, Mbadi ruled out the possibility that the Jubilee-KANU coalition will negatively affect the close relationship between President Kenyatta and the ODM party leader.

According to Mbadi, the merger will instead strengthen the handshake which brought together the two leaders after the divisive 2017 general election.

Mbadi said that the agreement between ODM and Jubilee party was that each party should not dictate what the other party does.

“If Jubilee decides to go to any merger with Kanu, they are perfectly in order because it is not part of our concern,” Mbadi said.

He added that “Bringing more hands into Jubilee is helpful to the cause of both Jubilee and ODM.. at least for the two leaders who agreed to move this country forward. I don’t think as a party we feel threatened in any way with any arrangements that Jubilee gets into with any friendly party.”

Mbadi was responding to the current turmoil inside the Jubilee house.

The Suba South MP added that the agreement between ODM and Jubilee was not about merging but to address and solve the problems that have been facing the country through the handshake.

He, however, said that if Jubilee party would like to make a further arrangement with ODM ahead of the future elections, the party will discuss it.

“I will not rule out any such possibility because political parties are formed to acquire power and to govern,” he said.

Mbadi’s remarks come after talks of a possible coalition between Jubilee and Kanu after President Uhuru Kenyatta met with Kanu chair Gideon Moi.

The president summoned Jubilee senators for a meeting at State House on Monday. During the meeting, major changes were made in the Jubilee Senate leadership.

West Pokot Senator Samuel Poghisio was appointed the new Senate Majority leader.

Poghisio will now be deputised by Isiolo senator Fatuma Dullo Adan.

In the new changes, Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata has replaced Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika as the Majority Chief Whip.

Kang’ata will be deputised by Wajir nominated senator Farhiya Ali Haji.

State House spokesperson Kanze Dena-Mararon said 20 senators from both Jubilee and Kanu attended the meeting.

President Uhuru Kenyatta Monday May 11,2020 managed to throw Deputy President William Ruto allies out of the senate leadership.

In a Parliamentary Group meeting held at State House, President Kenyatta effected the Senate reshuffles that were looming since last week.

The changes have seen Deputy President William Ruto’s allies removed from key positions, with Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, an acerbic surrogate of the DP, getting replaced with her deputy, Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata, as the Majority Chief Whip.

Elgeyo Markwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen did not survive either. KANU’s West Pokot Senator Samuel Poghisio has replaced Murkomen as the Majority leader in the senate.

Isiolo County senator Fatuma Dullo has taken over as the senate Deputy Majority leader. Senator Farhiya Ali is the new deputy whip.

In the invite to senators, President Kenyatta, who is the party leader, told the Jubilee members to be at State Hosue at 8.30 am on May 11.

“Mheshimiwa, I wish to invite you for a Jubilee Coalition, Senate Parliamentary Group Meeting at Statehouse Nairobi, tomorrow, Monday 11th May 2020, at 8.30am. Please be punctual,” said the message dispatched to Jubilee senators.

In the last years, two factions have emerged within Jubilee Party, Kieleweke and Tanga Tanga over 2022 succession politics.

One faction, Tanga Tanga, is affiliated with members who support the presidential candidacy of the Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 General Election.

The other faction, Kieleweke, is allied to the President’s camp who wish the party members to focus on Kenyatta’s legacy projects, warning it is too early to delve into succession politics.

The changes effected by President Kenyatta are said to be a punishment to DP Ruto allies for engaging in early 2022 successive politics.

Is National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition headed to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Gideon Moi’s newly formed coalition?

Well, just a day after Prrsident Kenyatta and Gideon signed a post-election deal between Jubilee party and Gideon’s Kenya African National Union (KANU), Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed that his party is ready to enter into the new Jubilee-KANU coalition agreement.

Kalonzo made this revelation on Monday, May 11, while appearing on Citizen TV’s morning interview.

Wiper is, however, still in the NASA coalition agreement between Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Forum for the Restoration of Democracy – Kenya (FORD-Kenya), Amani National Congress (ANC) and four other parties.

Kalonzo however, noted that plans are underway to join the Jubilee-KANU coalition that was announced on Sunday, May 10.

“Wiper will be ready to enter into a cooperation agreement with both Kanu and Jubilee when that time comes but we are open to that. Of course, we are guided by the provisions of the coalition agreement we have within NASA,” said the Wiper Party Leader.

Despite a section of Jubilee members terming the coalition with Kanu an illegality, Kalonzo noted that the agreement is within the law.

“KANU and Jubilee are within their rights to conclude a post-election coalition and I wish them well, as Wiper we are also consulting with our coalition partners in ODM, ANC and Ford Kenya to be able to see what we can do.

“At this time I think the country needs to come together regardless of political persuasion in order to jumpstart the economy in order to unite this country further,” noted Kalonzo.

The former Vice President also noted that Wiper held a meeting to discuss the possibility of joining another coalition.

“We had our NEC meeting which was virtual and I can tell you that just to indicate how things have changed we had a record attendance when we convened as NEC.

“We agreed that we need to be able to open negotiations and be able to move in that direction so we are already set but the only thing is that we need to look at the legalities of this issue,” revealed Kalonzo.

Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has cleared the air on claims of having been bribed Ksh 10 million by Deputy President William Ruto.

Appearing on K24’s Punchline show on the night of Sunday May 10, the now troubled lawmaker said that there has been a comment doing rounds on social media that he had been given Ksh 10 million by DP Ruto through his Personal Assistant Farouk Kibet.

Olekina dismissed the claims, terming the comment as stupid. He said that he had never met Farouk.

“There was a stupid comment circulating on social media that Farouk gave me Sh10 million. I have never met Farouk,” Olekina said.

Speculations that Senator Ledama was closely working with DP Ruto’s Tanga Tanga camp started when Tanga Tanga senators overwhelmingly voted him as the new chair of the Senate County Public Accounts and Investment Committee, replacing Homa Bay senator Moses Kajwang.

The Raila Odinga led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is this week expected to replace now rebel Olekina as chair of the powerful committee.

The election set for Thursday this week follows days of fierce wrangling within and outside the powerful senate watchdog committee, that has opened yet another political battlefront between Odinga, and deputy president William Ruto’s allies in the senate.

Olekina contested and won the election on Monday last week against his party’s preferred candidate Kisii Senator Sam Ongeri.

He had already chaired the CPAIC’s first meeting when Senate minority leader James Orengo (ODM) gave a notice indicating the party’s wish to dewhip him from the CPAIC and the Senate Business Committee (SBC).

Jubilee senators are today (Monday May 11, 2020) meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House, Nairobi.

The meeting is said to be a parliamentary group meeting where major changes in Jubilee House leadership will be announced.

On the list of changes, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen is expected to be replaced.

It is expected that West Pokot Senator Samuel Poghisio will replace the Elgeyo Marakwet senator as the Senate Majority Leader as Uhuru purges rebels, many of them allies of Deputy President William Ruto.

Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata is also set to occupy his Nakuru counterpart Susan Kihika as the Majority Chief Whip while Kang’ata’s place will be given to Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja.

Susan is a strong supporter of DP Ruto’s 2022 presidential candidate.

The changes come in wake of a coalition agreement signed between former ruling party KANU and Jubilee Party which has since been deposited with Registrar of Political Parties.

Kanu’s Poghisio is being rewarded for his loyalty to Uhuru through Baringo Senator Gideon Moi’s party.

According to People Daily, Gideon, a fierce rival of Ruto, is likely to be a big beneficiary of the new alignments.

DP Ruto is expected to attend Monday’s Jubilee meeting alongside the party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju.

Murkomen and Kihika are being accused of defying President Kenyatta’s call to stop early 2022 campaigns.

The second President of Kenya Mzee Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi’s prophecy that has been living on seems to have come into reality.

Deputy President Dr William Ruto’s allies are now crying foul after the Gideon Moi-led Kenya African National Union (KANU) officially joined the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led Jubilee party.

Former State House employee Dennis Itumbi, who is considered a close DP Ruto ally, Sunday evening took to his official twitter account to share the details of an approved coalition government between the ruling Jubilee Party and KANU.

Image

Itumbi shared a signed document from the registrar of political parties, addressing Jubilee secretary General Raphael Tuju, and his KANU counterpart Nick Salaat.

The document that certifies that coalition between the two parties has been signed by the representative of both parties.

Image

Itumbi, however, demonstrates the decision, arguing that the registrar of parties had approved the coalition illegally.

According to Itumbi, the move is against Article 32 of the Jubilee party constitution.

“The Registrar of Political Parties has already CERTIFIED the illegal Coalition Agreement. Check the excerpt of Article 32 of the Jubilee Constitution,” Itumbi tweeted.

Some Kenyans on Twitter have however reacted, arguing that the late Mzee Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi’s prophecy is now coming to reality.

Mzee Moi took over as the President of Kenya in 1978 after the death of the first President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. Moi was the Vice President then.

The constitution then provided that in the event the President died, the Vice President was to take over as President for 90 days before a fresh election could be conducted.

At the beginning, he was dismissed as the passing cloud but came to grow to become one of the tyrants in Kenya’s history.

At one time, he alluded to the fact that his party, the Kenya African National Union (KANU) would rule Kenya for 100 years. People dismissed him but his prophecy still stands.

Kenya is still ruled by KANU. The forest changed but the KANU monkeys are still the same. The third President of Kenya, Emilio Stanley Mwai Kibaki was initially in KANU. The fourth President of Kenya, Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta was initially in KANU. In fact it was Moi who made him who he is today.

Now that a Coalition between KANU and Jubilee has been approved, are there chances that Gideon Moi will be the next head of state?

Detectives from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) have arrested Kenya Ports Authority ( KPA) General Manager for Finance Patrick Nyoike, his wife Jacinta Wambugu and a KPA clerical officer Isaack Obunga over irregular payments of Kshs.214 million.

According to a statement by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODDP), it has shown that Mr. Patrick Nyoike allegedly used his power to allocate the money to Nyali Capital Limited, a microfinance business which is run by his wife Jacinta Wanjiku Wambugu who acts as the company’s General Manager along with other directors.

“Indeed, Patrick Wambugu Nyoike facilitated Nyali Capital Limited’s microfinance business to finance the KPA suppliers, Local Purchase Order (LPOs) and Local Service Orders (LSOs) and thereafter used the KPA system to have the principal and the interest from the said suppliers remitted to Nyali Capital Limited’s account by the KPA,” the statement read.

According to the ODPP, Nyali Capital Limited acted as a vendor in the KPA portal which indicates a conflict of interest and also a break of the codes and conducts.

“This demonstrates a conflict of interest on the part of Patrick Wambugu Nyoike, the General Manager Finance at KPA,” the ODPP’s statement adds.

Probing Mr. Wanyoike started Last year when the anti-graft detectives raided his house under probe of siphoning millions from the company to a private developer.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) then, claimed they were working on a tip-off suggesting that a sum of Sh241 million were moved from the company to an individual close to Mr. Patrick Wambugu Nyoike.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has finally reappeared after his alleged abduction. A section of Kenyans and politicians allied to him Friday evening raised concerns over his missing.

Internet was set ablaze, with leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto’s Tanga Tanga faction demanding his release, with some speculating that the controversial MP had been either kidnapped or arrested.

However, Sunday morning, the controversial lawmaker reappeared.

He took to his official facebook account to share his story.

Here is what he had to say.

“My great people of the Kenya land and Nation. I am safe and sound. I have not been abducted. And, again, I am safe. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of your love, your concern and solidarity

On Wednesday 6th May 2020, Kariobangi North MCA Hon Maina Njoka tried to offer help to the people of Kariobangi Sewage Village who had their houses demolished in the most barbaric manner.

Hon Njoka was arrested and held overnight at Pangani Police station, despite the DCIO Pangani assuring me personally that he would be released. Hon Njoka was only freed by a makeshift court at Kasarani stadium on Thursday 7th May 2020 at 5pm after laughable and flimsy charges.

The objective of Hon Njoka’s incarceration was to discourage anyone from standing with the suffering people of Kariobangi Sewage and Korogocho Market

On Friday, 8th May 2020, Ndindi Nyoro and myself decided to accompany Hon Maina Njoka to fulfill his desire to stand by the people who voted for him. As responsible leaders, we first presented to Kariobangi Police Station whereby we explained to the OCS and the Deputy OCS our mission and assured them that we have no ulterior motive other than to stand with our people.

We then proceeded to Sewage Village and the adjacent Korogocho Market which had by then cut off by way of digging a deep trench around it to deny traders access thus putting the lives of tens of thousands who depend on food from the market at risk. The demolitions at KariobangiSewage Village are heart wrenching to say the least. Women and children are spending days and nights in the cold. They have no money. They have no food. Rains are mercilessly pounding on them. They were told by their government to stay indoors due to the Corona Virus yet the same government demolishes the same houses they were asked to stay in. And to make matters worse the same government stops wellwishers and leaders from assisting them.

All the same, we devised ways and managed to address the people of Kariobangi Sewage and Korogocho market. We carefully listened to their cries and tears and promised to engage the government on these inhumane and barbaric actions against people who largely voted for the Jubilee government (Not that it matters, they are human beings to say the least)

Upon leaving the market, we retreated to Homeland inn along Thika Road for a brief meeting. It is at that point that I got information from very reliable sources that a very senior person had ordered for my arrest for daring to go to Korogocho.

The police leadership at Kariobangi was also under severe pressure and intimidation as to why they had not arrested me. As I left Homeland inn I was followed by 3 vehicles and had to use all sorts of deviations and tactics to dodge them. The objective was clearly to arrest me and hold me throughout the weekend or even worse to detain me in a quarantine facility.

I was determined not to let this happen as I had done no wrong other than to stand with suffering people. More so, I would not do so without my personal doctor given what happened to Ken Matiba.

The other objective was also to send a message to the so called political class not to stand with the people at their hour of need. I have been used before as a guinea pig to send a message to the opposition, the political class . I was arrested and charged in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 to facilitate arrests of opposition leaders.

I had to battle those charges in court before I was acquitted of all of them But. But still, I am not a guinea pig. I am a human being. I am a husband, a father, a leader, a brother and a son to my dear mother who gets depressed when her son is arrested and charged only to send a message to others. I am very sure if the United Nations demand that a Kenyan be offered to test the Corona Virus vaccine, the Kenya government will offer Moses Kuria as the guinea pig to test the vaccine

To the people of Korogocho and Kariobangi village, you shall not walk alone. I will be back with my colleagues and other well wishers to stand with you

And to you my people. Stay safe. And be vigilant. We have rights. And we shall never give in to tyranny

God Bless Kenya,”

Kakamega County Fish processing factory is ready to start exporting fish to European Union (EU) markets.

Speaking after signing an MoU between Kakamega County Government and DAS Group, Deputy Governor Philip Museve Kutima said the county has 500 registered fish farmers who will supply fish to the factory.

“The government offers subsidies on fingerlings and fish feeds. This has increased fish production in the County,” said Prof. Kutima who is also the CECM for Agriculture, Irrigation, Cooperatives, Veterinary and Livestock services.

The Deputy Governor said operationalization of the factory will create employment and business opportunites for the locals.

“Our economy will be boosted once operations begin and will also market Kakamega County to the external markets,” he added

Livestock and Fisheries Chief Officer Dr. Kelly Nelima said the County has already sensitized fish farmers through county government extension officers.

“We are encouraging diversification in farming and urge more people to embrace fish farming as a source of income and for the health benefits,” she said.

Fish farmers will also be trained through their umbrella body, the Kakamega County Fish Cooperative, on the best fish farming practices and management.

DAS Group representative Mr. Samwel Ondiek said the factory is able to process 5 tonnes of fish in a span of 8 hours. “The plant complies with EU certification for export giving us an opportunity to export fish to European markets,” he said.

He said the Group has already partnered with local retail markets including supermarkets for supply of fish products from the factory.

The County government has also partnered with other development partners including IFAD, FAO and GIZ to beef up extension and training services to farmers.

Bungoma county assembly was on fire Thursday May 7 when the members of the county assembly engaged in a very heated argument after the plan to impeach leader of the majority failed.

This came after the two sides, those supporting the motion and those against it failed to control their emotions leading to chaos, insults and fist fights, the county assembly turning to a wrestling ground.

Majority of MCAS had signed to impeach leader of the majority Florence Wekesa on what they termed as failing on her duties and conspiring with the executive and. 36 MCAs had appended their signatures to help kicking out of Mrs. Wekesa who is also the Maeni Ward MCA while 11 MCAs were supporting her.

Members of the majority party in the house; led by Ford Kenya want Mrs. Wekesa out for failing to play her role and being manipulated by the executive.

They further called out the assembly speaker Emmanuel Situma for also colluding with the executive disregarding his role as the assembly prefect.

The members had convened to extend the recess and they also wanted to table the motion to kick out the majority leader but it seems the speaker was bit elusive and was siding with the minority members who were supporting the majority leader.

The MCAs had proposed Tuuti Marakaru ward MCA Joseph Juma Nyongesa to take over as the majority leader replacing Mrs. Wekesa.

Nyongesa said that when the health committee members were stopped by the armed anti-riot police officers from interrogating members of the executive on their role in purchasing the most expensive jerrycans at Ksh. 10000 per 20 litre she went silent and never commented on the incident.

She was also accused of failing to convene a meeting to discuss on how they should have shared the Sh 100million from then assembly kitty meant for special programs in fighting Covid-19.

“She has failed us and so we have collected enough signatures and will be impeached through hook or crook, we can’t pretend to help Mwananchi yet we are colluding with the executives and failing in our oversight roles,” said Nyongesa.

However, Mrs. Nyongesa contradicted their sentiments saying that she has played her role very well as the leader of majority something that has united both the assembly sand the executive.

“Those fighting and want me out feel that I have been an obstacle for them to achieve their selfish interests. I am still the leader of majority at the moment and I will serve Ford Kenya well and ensure that the party grows,” she ranted.

Activist Okiya Omtatah is once again in court to sue the National Government over importation of maize.

According to the vocal human rights activist, the maize set to be imported does not meet the East African Community Standard.

In his application filed on Friday under urgency on behalf of the Strategic Rood Reserve Trust Fund, Omtatah claims the importation will endanger the lives of members of the public who consume maize products either directly or indirectly.

Omtatah notes that the importation of the maize had been objected by the Fund  and was aggrieved that, vide Gazette Notice  of April 17,2020, which was published on April 20, 2020, Treasury CS Ukur Yatani authorised the importation of substandard dry maize at a concessional import duty rate of 14 per cent for white maize and 10 per cent  for yellow maize.

He further states that whereas the Gazette notice allows the importation of maize whose aflatoxin levels don’t exceed 10ppm (parts per million) the East African Community Standard  sets a maximum limit of 10 ppb (parts per billion) as safe for human and animal consumption.

He states that the East African Community Standard is recognized and endorsed by the Kenya Bureau of Standards.

The activist argues that the unlawful importation of the maize violates the Bill of Rights in the Constitution, including the rights to life (Article 26); human dignity (Article 28); a clean and healthy environment (Article 42).

Omtatah says that the fund reasonably suspects that the lowering of standards contrary to the law to allow for the importation of substandard maize is deliberate and tailor-made to serve vested interests.

He says that unless the stay is granted, substandard maize will be imported and the lives of millions of Kenyans will be put in danger, and the Constitution and the law will continue to be violated and threatened as stated.

Kenyan truck drivers are now using short cuts to get the neighboring Uganda so that they can run away from being screened for Covid-19, details have emerged.

Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa Thursday night took to his social media accounts to reveal the route the drivers are now using to get to Uganda, just for them to run away from screenings at the Malaba boarder.

According to the lawmaker who is allied to Jubilee’s Tanga Tanga faction, the drivers have now opted to using lwakhakha/kimilili / mayanja road to get to the Yoweri Museveni-led country.

The lawmaker who protested the move by the drivers said it is unacceptable, arguing that the Bungoma County Commissioner might be sleeping on his job.

The lawmaker went ahead to reveal that his constituents are now contemplating to torch the drivers, and that he had run out of energy and tactics to beseech them not to do so.

The lawmaker suggests that the truck drivers should be forced to go back to Uganda and use the correct route of kanduyi-malaba boarder.

“It’s frightening tha truck drivers are running away from being screened and instead opting to using lwakhakha/kimilili / mayanja road this is not acceptable at all.The commissioner is sleeping on his job. The truck drivers should be forced to go back to Uganda and use the correct route of kanduyi malaba my people are conterplating torching them,I have run out of energy and tactics to beseech them not todo so,” he tweeted.

On Tuesday,  Ugandan Ministry of Health confirmed three more positive Coronavirus cases from among Kenyan truck drivers.

This came after six other tested positive last week an repatriated back to the country for medical care.

The drivers had registered a complaint that they were being subjected to mandatory tests at the Malaba border point and being detained in Uganda for long periods of time.

The total number of Kenyan drivers who turned positive in Uganda is now at 17.

Up to date, a total of 37 truck drivers have tested positive, with 14 from Tanzania, four from Uganda, one from Burundi and the other one from Rwanda.

Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina is now calling upon Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga to save him from losing the Senate County Public Accounts and Investments Committee (CPAIC) chair seat.

In an interview with KTN NEWS on Thursday night, Ole Kina said that the issue can be settled by the party leader.

“I want to call upon my party leader and tell him that my election is being stolen, support me,” Ole Kina said.

He said that things will turn ‘nasty’ if the marginalized communities in the country are used as rubber stamps by others.

“It is going to be nasty because we are not going to sit aside and become fence seaters,” ole Kina said.

The senator has also added that he was shocked by Orengo’s move to dispute the results yet he was not part of the team that took part in the election.

ODM on Thursday dewhiped Ole Kina from the Senate County Public Accounts and Investment Committee (CPAIC).

This comes just days after members allied to Deputy President William Ruto ganged up to vote in Ole Kina as the chair of the powerful committee.

In a letter dated May 7, 2020 addressing the senate speaker, Orengo issued a notice of the discharge and removal of Senator Ole Kina from the committee.

“In accordance with the senate Standing order 190, I hereby give notice of the discharge and removal of Senator Ledama Ole Kina from the County Public Accounts and Investment Committee and the Senate Business Committee,” reads the letter.

Image

This came just a day after Ole Kina and Orengo settled the matter that almost brought chaos to the ODM party.

The argument between Ledama and ODM Minority Leader in the Senate James Orengo started on Tuesday following the new members to the County Public and Accounts Investment Committee being announced.

Ole Kina emerged the winner from the votes cast defeating his Kisii counterpart Sam Ongeri.

Following his win, Orengo disputed the outcome, saying the names of the new members were published in a rush when other issues were not resolved.

Ole Kina said that the move by Orengo was not in good faith yet he is a member of the ODM party.

But on Wednesday, Ole Kina said through a post on Twitter that the matter had been resolved.

He said that he held wide consultations regarding his election as the Senate CPAIC chairperson with Orengo and the ODM party leadership.

“I have had wide consultations on the issue of my election as chair of the Senate CPAIC with James Orengo and the ODM party,” Ole Kina said.

Ole Kina has however, dared the Orange party shortly after being kicked out of the powerful senate committee.

Taking to his twitter account Thursday afternoon, Ole Kina dared ODM to bring on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), which he said is set to kick of by the end of this month.

His daring message follows ODM’s decision to dewhip him from the Senate County Public Accounts and Investment Committee (CPAIC), just days after members allied to Deputy President William Ruto ganged up to vote in Ole Kina as the chair of the powerful committee.

Ole Kina further, in another post, noted that things are about to get nasty.

While noting that he had chaired his second meeting as the duly elected Chair of Senate Public Accounts Investment Committee, he urged Kenyans to ignore a letter from Senate Minority leader James Orengo, arguing that it has got no basis and must be treated with contempt.

“Today I chaired my second meeting as the duly elected Chair of Senate Public Accounts Investment Committee. The letter by @orengo_james has got no basis and must be treated with contempt! Because this committee is very powerful they want a push over not Me,” he tweeted.
