Business mogul Zedekiah Bundotich Kiprop popularly known as Buzeki has vowed to fight Deputy President William Ruto up to the last minute.

Taking to his official Twitter handle on Friday evening, Buzeki revisited some of the promises DP Ruto was giving Kenyans when campaigning for their second term alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The businessman-cum politician slammed Jubilee government for failing to deliver on the many promises they made.

He noted that the Jubilee government while campaigning ahead of the 2017 general elections promised a double digit economy, dams, stadiums, Galana Kulalu, laptops, Uasin-Gishu Referral Hospital, all of which have not been delivered until now.

Buzeki slammed DP Ruto, for promising Kenyans wheelbarrows instead.

He went ahead to vow that looters and corrupt political salesmen must fall.

“Jubilee promised a DOUBLE DIGIT  economy, DAMS, STADIUMS, GALANA KULALU, LAPTOPS, UASIN- GISHU referral HOSPITAL, now it has EVOLVED and METAMORPHOSED into a Single WHEEL non MOTORIZED accessory. We MUST drain THE SWAMP. Looters and  Corrupt political SALESMEN must FALL. Tai,” Buzeki posted.

A week ago, Buzeki resigned as CCM secretary-general and quit, following party leader Isaac Ruto’s move to back Deputy President William Ruto.

Buzeki says he does not subscribe to Tangatanga politics of lies, which he claims will create division in the country.

“I can’t be a party to such politics that is based on lies and propaganda. I will not and will never be part of Tangatanga style of politics,” Buzeki said.

He noted that he would announce his next political move by April and it would not have anything to do with Chama Cha Mashinani.

“I will soon meet with our supporters and stakeholders to discuss the best way forward because we can’t be part of what Isaac Ruto is doing,” Buzeki said. He said he had completely broken political ranks with CCM and Ruto.

“There is no way I can subscribe to Tangatanga kind of politics that is baseless and aimed at dividing Kenyans,” Buzeki said.

He said he was part of leaders seeking to unite the country and not use cheap propaganda to gain power. He cautioned Ruto that by joining the DP he was drowning politically.

The former Bomet governor joined the DP during his visit to the county and was seen with the Tangatanga brigade which toured parts of the South Rift region last week.

Buzeki joined CCM two years ago after differing with DP Ruto and his allies whom he accused of perpetrating politics of dictatorship and lies.

He has been critical of the DP and his camp, warning that they would ruin the country should they gain power.

He vied for the governor seat in Uasin Gishu but lost to incumbent Jackson Mandago. He is considered a frontrunner for the same seat in 2022.

Uasin Gishu is DP Ruto’s backyard but Buzeki enjoys substantive support in the region.  He had planned to vie on a CCM ticket but will now go back to the drawing board.

This comes just a day after Buzeki clashed with Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago and Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi.

Buzeki on Saturday engaged in a public spat with MP Oscar Sudi and governor Mandago over 2022 succession politics.

The three met during a fundraiser in Kapseret constituency, Eldoret, where Buzeki insisted he would vie again for the governor’s seat in 2022 and do a better job in ensuring Uasin Gishu becomes a model county. Buzeki lost to Mandago in 2017.

“Mandago, you have done your part and when I take over I will host a grand send-off party for you as you retire. I will then deliver on ensuring unity in Uasin Gishu,” the businessman said.

Buzeki, who was cheered by residents, also criticised some local politicians for repeatedly using DP William Ruto’s name instead of outlining their own performance record.

“Some of you keep on telling us about Ruto everywhere as if people don’t know him. Tell us about your own agenda because everyone here knows Ruto and supports him,” he said.

When MP Sudi rose to speak he told off Buzeki, accusing him of engaging in divisive politics in Uasin Gishu.

“You should seek support without causing divisions among residents of Uasin Gishu,” Sudi said.

He told Buzeki that residents would not vote for him to succeed Mandago in 2022.

Sudi claimed that Buzeki had sold his dairy company and was not the right person to talk about improving the economy of the region.

“These people are not telling you the truth because they will not vote for you come 2022,” Sudi told Buzeki.

Mandago, who spoke last, asked Buzeki to go slow on his political ambitions. The governor said politics would keep on changing, especially if the BBI leads to constitutional changes.

“If BBI will go through, then we will likely have a new Constitution and I will be back seeking to be elected again. I will be back for another fresh term, and I am sure I will win. Buzeki, please go slow because I am not going anywhere,” Mandago said.

He told Buzeki to stop relying on brokers believing they would help him win the governor’s seat.

“Those brokers you go round with are just interested in your money and will not help you with anything. Deal with residents of this region and go slow,” Mandago said.

Business mogul Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop alias Buzeki has declared his support for ODM candidate in the Kibra by-election Benard Imran Okoth.

Through his Twitter handle, Buzeki on Sunday said that Imran is fit to take over from his late brother the late Ken Okoth.

The former Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant says the ODM candidate was in charge of Kibra when Ken Okoth was receiving treatment abroad before he succumbed to cancer in July this year.

“IMRAN kept KIBRA going when KEN was sick. Endelea Na KAZI,” he tweeted.

Buzeki who a few months decamped to Chama Cha Mashinani was once a Jubilee party member before he fell out with the party’s leadership after he lost to Governor Jackson Mandago during the Jubilee party preliminaries in 2017.

Imran will battle it out with Jubilee’s McDonald Mariga, ANC’s Eliud Owalo, Ford Kenya’s Khamisi Butichi and other 20 candidates in November 7 by elections.
