A man who allegedly stuffed pepper, salt and super glue into his wife’s private parts has finally been arrested.

The 30-Year-Old James Kifo Muriuki, who on 16th May, 2020 horridly dehumanized his wife, has this morning been arrested from his hideout at Kaningo in Kitui County by a combined team of DCI detectives from Special Crime Unit, DCI Tseikuru and DCI Tharaka South.

According to police report under OB4/17/5/2020 filed by the victim Charity Wairimu, James Muriuki travelled from Nairobi to Marimanti in Tharaka, it appears the man was suspecting his wife was cheating on him.

On reaching home, Muriuki is said to have ordered his wife to go to River Kathita, and then instructed her to remove all her clothes so that she may tell him about all the men she has been sleeping with while he was in Nairobi.

“The arrest followed a shocking report made by the complainant, his wife, on how the suspect lured her in the dead of the night to river Kathita whereby he ordered her to strip naked and tell him all the men she had slept with while he was in Nairobi,” reads a statement posted by DCI.

On being hesitant, the victim was beaten by the suspect who also sprayed pepper, salt and super glue on her genitalia and later used a knife to push the said contents to her lady parts. Further, it was reported that he sealed her mouth and ears and left her for dead.

The suspect will be charged accordingly once necessary police procedure is complete.

It is yet to be known how Muriuki was able to circumvent through the police roadblocks that have been erected, after government ordered the cessation of movement of people into and out of the Nairobi Metropolitan area, as a measure of curbing COVID-19.

Controversial lawyer Cliff Ombeta has fired back at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for quickly jumping into action after a warrant of arrest was issued against controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi.

A magistrate on Tuesday issued a warrant of arrest against the blogger for failing to appear in court to plead to the charges of publishing false information.

Nyakundi is accused of claiming that a senior Kenya Revenue Authority had died of coronavirus disease.

The blogger was arrested three weeks ago and freed on police bond pending plea taking.

But on Monday, the investigating officer Issac Tenai of DCI Central sought an arrest warrant against him for skipping court session.

Shortly after an arrest warrant was issued, DCI took to their social media handles to publish that Nyakundi is a wanted person.

DCI went ahead to order Nyakundi to to present himself at the said office or at his nearest Police station immediately.

#WANTED| Mr. Cyprian Andama Nyakundi is WANTED by the @DCI_Kenya Regional Criminal Investigations Office – Nairobi following the issuance of a warrant of arrest in respect of him from the Chief Magistrate’s Court Milimani after he failed to attend Court as expected.

“The order follows a case of Publication of False Information Contrary to Section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act filed against him by a complainant. Mr. Nyakundi is hereby ordered to present himself at the said office or at his nearest Police station immediately,” DCI posted.

But while responding to the post, lawyer Ombeta who has represented blogger Nyakundi in several cases trashed the claims.

Ombeta argued that issuing an arrest warrant against Nyakundi was totally malicious. According to Ombeta, Nyakundi should not be arrested for failing to appear in court since all courts are currently closed.

Chief Justice David Maraga said in a press conference on Tuesday suspended open courts and directed proceedings to be conducted remotely in compliance with health safety rules against Covid-19.

Dagoretti South MP, John Kiarie is a troubled man after sending a series tweets concerning the status of the Coronavirus Pandemic in the country.

On Sunday evening, Kiarie was summoned by officers from the Director of Criminal Investigation at Kabete Police Station.

The MP was grilled by the DCI over claims he made in the wee hours of March 29. Through his twitter page, he alluded that there are close to 7000 people in quarantine facilities in the country.

These people, he said, had flown in the country within the last 5 days and were currently isolated at Lenana School and Kinyanjui Technical Institute.

“We have 7,000 Kenyans in quarantine who arrived back between Wednesday and Sunday. In Dagoretti South Constituency, we are hosting them at Lenana School and Kinyanjui Tech. How they got there and the chaos therein is a story for another day,” wrote Kiarie on his twitter account.

KJ’s alarming twitter post

KJ, as he is popularly known, further stated that the government is lying to Kenyans about the real situation of the Coronavirus spread in the country. He claimed that the government is incapacitated to handle the mass infections from the disease.

“Kenya Government must forthwith communicate the gravity of the real situation without sugar coating anymore. Let Kenyans know how bad things are about to get. They will be better equipped to make personal decisions and put up with government decrees, measures and restrictions,” he further wrote

“GoK MUST come out and admit that the government CANNOT handle what is coming alone. No drought, Bomb blast, Terror attack, Westgate, or disaster we have known before is anywhere close to what is coming. We need a “Kenyans for Kenyans” to the power of 100 to even barely survive!”

Other than the MP, other people who have been arrested for propagating alarming information on the disease are blogger Robert Alai and Cyprian Nyakundi.

Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Serious Crime Unit detectives have today (Thursday) arrested Peter Wangai Muriithi, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Goldenscape Group Limited.

Mr Wangai through his company is said to have lured investors to invest in Greenhouses that were to be set up in Ol Kalou, Nyahururu and other places which turned out to be a fraudulent investment deal.

He will be charged with the offence of obtaining money by false pretenses, conspiracy to defraud, false representation, issuing bad cheques among other charges.

Several of his victims have recorded statements at the DCI Hqs.

Early this month, DCI sleuths launched a manhunt for Peter Wangai after a scathing expose aired on Citizen TV that exposed how he collected billions from Kenyans before disappearing into thin air.

Through Goldenscape Greenhouses, Wangai lured investors to put in their cash in the project and collected billions, promising high returns in leased green houses that did not materialize.

The mouth-watering deal that was backed by commercials on TV that made the firm look credible saw Goldenscape Greenhouses offer contractual obligations to investors, with an assurance of a Ksh 550,000 return on a Ksh 320,000 investment after six months.

“The money I expected as returns from the investment would have been over Ksh7 million. That would have taken me out of poverty,” stated one investor in the Goldenscape scandal.

Trouble came calling after the investors failed to receive money as promised in the deal, prompting them to file complaints with the DCI.

Citizen TV expose revealed that Peter Wangai allegedly disappeared at the beginning of the week of Monday, March 2, never to be found.

Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti has flown to the United States to get a three-week FBI training.

Kinoti flew to the US last week to attend the Federal Bureau Investigations (FBI) executive training.

The training will go down at at the National Executive Institute.

He is the only detective from Africa considered for the high level training with the other four attendees drawn from Canada and Australia.

At least 15 top FBI officials will take the participants through strategic leadership development and current affairs during the three-week training.

The attendees – according to NEI’s website – must be heads of departments with more than 500 sworn officers serving a population of at least 250,000.

The first two weeks of the training will be held in Washington before the attendees are taken to Glasgow for the final bit of the course.

“NEI consists of three one-week training sessions throughout the year. Two of the sessions are hosted by the FBI Academy; the third is typically conducted overseas in concert with our global partners,” NEI’s website states.

“One of the most valuable aspects of NEI is the range and diversity of the executives, who bring immensely different levels of experience and perspectives.”

NEI has provided leadership development for bureau executives and for the heads of the largest law enforcement agencies in the United States and overseas.

Since 1976, more than 1,000 law enforcement executives have graduated from the institute.

Upon graduation, each executive is invited to join the NEI Associates (NEIA), a non-profit foundation that continues the education of these executives and sponsors various research projects.

Former Sports Cabinet Secretary (CS) Rashid Echesa has finally broken silence following a car drama at his Karen home.

Monday morning, DCI sleuths were forced to jump over the gate into his compound and arrested him over fraudulent accusation of three motors belonging to Esther Kabura.

In his response, the Former CS produced a letter stating how the Directorate of Criminal Investigations vindicated him from an alleged fraudulent accusation of three motors.

Echesa claims that the DCI act of arresting him and taking his vehicles was malicious.

“AMBIGUOUS! It’s amazing that the @DCI_Kenya works in a cryptic and abstruse way! Why are they acting as if they never served me with this letter dated 5th February 2018!” tweeted Echesa.

In the letter shared by Echesa, a complaint was made on January 23rd 2017 by Kabura who claimed that the Former CS, who was a friend to her late husband, took three vehicles belonging to her late husband immediately after his death for safe custody but failed to return them.

The three vehicles were listed as KBZ 009 J Toyota Land Cruiser V8, KBN 242 W Toyota Mark X and KAY 388 A Volkswagen Passat.

The DCI Kenya further established that Echesa was given the vehicles for safe custody after the complainant, Kabura, was embroiled in an inheritance dispute with the relatives of her late husband who are accused to have plotted to take over the properties.

The letter further vindicates Echesa from the claim of fraudulent accusation with the DCI stating that the complainant had requested the Former CS to dispose of the vehicle for her due to her financial constraints.

“It was established that indeed the said motor vehicles were given to Rashid Mohamed following a disagreement between the complainant and the family of her late husband who wanted to deprive her of their properties which included the motor vehicles.

“Later the complainant approached Rashid requesting him to assist her in disposing of the motor vehicles as she was undergoing serious financial problems.

“Upon completion of the investigations, it was established that the motor vehicles in question were sold by the complainant a fact that was supported by the production of a signed agreement and cash deposits into her account,” reads in part the letter from the DCI dated February 5th 2018.

According to the alleged DCI’s letter: “Due to the aforesaid, the matter was closed as no further police action was required after both parties were summoned and were advised accordingly.”

Five cars parked at former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa’s Karen home compound were on Monday afternoon driven to Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters along Kiambu road.

This is after DCI detectives raided his Karen home to investigate his car ownership.

In the Process, Echesa was arrested for allegedly acquiring one of the cars fraudulently.

Echesa was accused of entering in DP’s office alongside other two foreigner investors whom he duped through a fake military tender.

The deal worth Ksh. 39 billion is still under the police probe.

The probe extended to DP’s office with the sleuths visiting Harambee Annex not less than once.
